  • March 17, 2010--Quizas
  • It is with great sadness that we lost our beloved Quizas this spring. This mare was only in our lives for a very short time but she made a huge impact on our hearts. She loved to watch over the foals and would leave the nice green grass to go up and comfort a lonely weanling. We buried her in the foals pasture so she can always be watching over the foals.

  • We realized, well ok, I realized a life long dream on April 25th, 2005 when we moved into our 20 acre farm. There are two wonderful ponds on either side of the house and a wetland on the North boarder which draws beautiful wildlife to our area. We have Bald Eagles, White Tailed Deer, Black Bears, Sand Hill Cranes, Pheasants, and all sorts of other birds and rodents up here. And probably the largest community of gophers and moles living in my pastures!

Our horses get turned out to one of our back 5 acre pastures everyday for some playtime and to graze. They have free access to good quality grass hay and they get premium grain twice pr day. Otherwise they pass their time in our front pasture where they sleep in the sun or scratch on my willow tree.

We have two amazing broodmares from the Vasallo bloodline. I have been waiting my whole life to fall in love with a horse when I met Quizas I knew she was the one that I was waiting for.
